It’s been said that success in small business is really about getting “base hits” and being consistent. Instead of swinging for the fences and always trying to hit home runs (and having a lot strike outs along the way), you are much bettter off to haea high on-base percentage, a solid batting average and practice the fundamentals.
But this isn’t a baseball blog, despite what you’ve just read above. Rather – this blog speaks to the ahrd working small and medium business (SMB) technology consultant and channel partner. He/She is out there every day serving hard working small businesses.
But back to my mixed sports metaphor. Whereas I practice what I preach with the daily dozen tasks that are repeated again and again in my writings, speeches and other outreach, today I want to hit a home run.
The bases loaded home run is this. I am pleased as punch to announce that Jeff Middleton and Karl Palachuk – both well-known names in the SMB technology community – will appear together on-stage at SMB Nation Fall09 (Las Vegas, October 2-4, 2009). The topic is MIGRATIONS. Both Jeff and Karl have bona fide expertise in this field and have different views on migrating SMB data networks. Having both on stage at the same time is akin to hearing two great economist lecture at Harvard!
Bring you camera to take a pic of this historic moment at SMB Nation Fall09. You can tell the world that you were there!
