Fixed price bids allow the opportunity to really recast your operations from a profitability point of view. You’re entirely motivated to cut out costs and engage in pure capitalism. Sure, these basic business rules apply to any SMB consulting style but with fixed price contracts, you’re feedback loop is much shorter and you can see how individual projects were profitable, etc. As alluded to a few paragraphs above, you’re looking for a way to leverage ahead of the time and materials crowd by winning engagements for a fixed price and then being a super human SMB consultant in successfully implementing your SMB solution for your satisfied client!
