“Product” in your SMB consultancy [SMB Consulting Best Practices book excerpt]

Good morning! I am the author of the SMB Consulting Best Practices book and I like to hold virtual book readings. Today I am posting up that good word on your “product” as a SMB consultant. It’s part of my series on the 5 P’s of marketing yourself as an SMB consultant. You get the picture – so now READ!

Granted, you’re really providing a “service” versus a “product” as an SMB consultant, but bear with me. One man’s product is another man’s service. It’s basically all the same and allows me to communicate with you in the five Ps marketing construct.

BEST PRACTICE: When you think about it, the Grinder section at the end of this book is where I really define the nuts and bolts of what your product or service will be. This section on product, in the context of business marketing, is about selecting a service that will have built-in demand for it. The discussion that follows is necessarily business-oriented and not specifically technical in nature.
