Making the best decision is always critical
No matter how experienced and successful you are as an SMB consultant, you’re never that far removed from making a bad client selection decision. You may be susceptible to the friendly demeanor of a client or a poignant tale of woe. The bottom line is that a bad client is always a bad client. It is incumbent upon you to remain as objective as possible at all times when considering a consulting engagement with a prospective client. This is a task that never goes away.
