Please Don’t Cut Your Marketing Budget Microsoft!

Last week Microsoft reported record earning and, once I dug a bit deeper into the real story, I was saddened to see Microsoft announce steep budget cuts. Read here: 

I truly believe a downturn is the BEST TIME to invest and I have writtin about that before. I cite the following article that support my thinking: 

As for SMB Nation, where I have the honor of being the CEO, I am increasing our marketing spend to increase our mindshare, marketshare and force our competition to keep up with us in a cold war make Russia go broke kinda way. 🙂

For example, I am proud to announce we increased our sponsorship level in the Washington Technology Professional Association (WTPA; to PLATINUM!  Other increase marketing spends – I can not disclose in a blog 🙂
