SBS Unlimited

Some folks just won’t take no for an answer in the security field. They ask and ask again about separating ISA Server 2000 out from the SBS 2003 server machine and putting it on a separate server at the perimeter. Clearly I can’t go on record suggesting you violate the inherent “per server” licensing in the SBS 2003 product. However, you might learn more about the SBS Unlimited SKU that allows the server applications to be placed on multiple servers (and allows you to have more than 75 CALs). You can learn more about this at http://www.microsoft.com/sbs.

BEST PRACTICE: The SBS Unlimited SKU is expensive, so don’t tell

me I didn’t warn you!
