Business plans have a major section that defines products and services, and your SMB consulting business plan is no exception. It is here that you will list the specific services (and perhaps products) you intend to offer.
As you write this section, ask the question “Exactly what do I do?” and see if you can answer it in a fairly succinct manner. If you can’t answer that question for yourself, you risk your practice being aimless. Might I suggest that you consider focusing on providing SBS services as an SMB consultant? You’ll hear that from me many more times across these pages. In a few chapters, I also talk about providing services that are general or specific in nature.
