Configure My Documents Redirection

The SBS development team views centralized storage of data as a part of the “best practices” in securing and protecting your data. I agree. So the Configure My Documents Redirection link displays the Client Document Redirection dialog box that allows you to use Group Policy to redirect data from user workstations up to individual user folders on the network. The data can then be backed up.

Notes:

As ordered, this screen will configure data redirection. I’d highly recommend you click More Information and read all about this in detail.

When you complete this process, the behavior you will observe is this: When you are finished working on your client computer and go to log off, a screen will appear showing the status of document being moved from your local My Documents folder to your shared folder on the network. There is no user interaction.
